I received a small Sobakawa Cloud Pillow for Mother's Day and loved it so much my daughter gave me a queen size for my birthday. However, the toxic smell is so bad on the queen size I cannot use it. I have tried odor eliminators, vinegar, sunshine, everything. I even wrapped a sheet around it. It actually irritates my face. The odor is just terrible. I am a senior citizen and am just afraid of it. The cost to send it back is just too much! Plus, the case is too small and just bunches the pillow up into a hard tight ball. Since I love my small one so much, I am overly disappointed with this larger one! My daughter is so embarrased about the whole toxic pillow situation but we can do nothing about it but throw my birthday gift away.

This pillow is a terrible investment! Supposedly it holds its shape and stays cool. Yeah right! After approximately 2 months, the pillow completely lost its shape and is more of a limp bean bag than anything else. As far as it staying cool through the night, I still found myself flipping the pillow over to the cool side. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

Got my pillow from 800 number, also ordered jumbo pillow, still haven't got entire order and it's been over a month. The first comment was correct the pillow does smell of some sort of harsh chemical. I don't deny it is comfortable but the chemical smell that comes off it does bother me, it gives me a headache. If you try to return your product forget it. Also if you use the 800 number watch out what you order because you can easily get over charged what you thought the price was. Overall I like the pillow but not happy with the smell and the way they over charged. There's no way to get a hold of them either to dispute any charges or customer service. If you're thinking of buying this go through AMAZON so you can return it of dispute it and know what you're going to be paying for price. The original little pillows are very small so I would order the jumbo pillow. If anyone knows how to get the smell away please let everyone know.

Folks, This is a HORRIBLE product. All of you that say you love it, have you looked at the warning label on the tag of the pillow. Those beads are Toxic and HIGHLY Flammable. If the pillow catches on fire, it creates a toxic cloud that can kill you! Also, one of the pillows ripped open and those beads were getting out all over my daughter's room. I have thrown both the pillows we bought in the Garbage less than a week after we received it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT! And if you like it, read the label. Nice knowing you are sleeping on deadly chemicals. The bad smell... It's the deadly chemicals. Throw it away. Thank goodness I caught it early before it really caused us harm!

I'm going to tell everyone what a scam you are and when I leave here I'm going to the scam alert web page and let everyone on the internet know what a awful company you really are!!!!!

I have a herniated disc in my neck. My husband bought me a sobakowa pillow for christmas. It was gerat for the first night, then I started noticing a terrible polyurithane sort of sent. I was waking up with headaches and kept smelling this bad smell. When I realized it was my pillow, I stoped using it. It is now Feberuary and the pillow still smells bad. I have done everything I can think of to let it air out but I just know I'll never be able to sleep on it again.

I totally agree that buying it from their 800 number is a pain. Luckily, we had our phone # changed and debit card #'s changed right after purchase, so I've not had any marketing calls (Whew).
I have to say that after 2 nights sleeping on this pillow, I've been waking up more rested. Hubby and my son tried theirs out last night, so I'm waiting on their "reviews". Haven't noticed a chemical smell to the pillows as I read in a lot of review. Also haven't noticed whether it keeps cool at night since we are in a deep freeze anyway.
As far as noise, I'm partially deaf, so I don't hear it at all. Hubby and son will have to "review" that too.

I ordered a pillow from the official site THEN read the reviews. I tried to cancel my order and everytime I clicked the Help button or unsubscribe button the selections disappeared from the website. I called for an 800 listed for Sobakawa only to find out that they don't have one. Why am I not surprised? I decided to refuse delivery and call my bank first thing tomorrow morning.

If you are thinking of buying a Sobakawa pillow, DON'T BUY IT FROM THE COMPANY directly !
I ordered mine 3 months ago and still haven't received it. They have given me every conceivable excuse. They finally charged my bank card YESTERDAY, overdrawing my account. Sobakawa pillow company sold my information to a 3rd party marketing company (from 727-712-0382) which actually held up shipping of my order to call me probably a dozen times before I finally answered the call from a number I didn't recognize. They tried to sell me a program in which I would receive $100 in "Free" gas coupons.
These people had my address, phone number, and the last 4 digits of my credit card! It was when they tried to get me to read them the rest of the card number that I knew for sure they were trying to rip me off. I refused to give it to them and they had the nerve to ask me for a different card !
Sobakawa pillow company is dishonest in their business practices. I can't even tell you about the quality of the product, as I have never received it - they told me it would be 6-10 weeks shipping several times. It's now November 13th, 2010. I'll update you next year.

The original Sobakawa pillow was a wonderful treat. When the cloud pillow came out I thought it would be just as good if not better than before. It is a great pillow I love the way it cradles my head and neck. But when I removed the pillow case to clean it as it had yellowed I noticed little white pieces coming from the pillow case. I shook the pillow and found that it was as if the material inside the pillow was flaking off the pillow. I am still using the pillow but I am now wondering if it will keep doing this.

I have been using these pillows since the early 90's. I can't use any other pillow. I am spoiled. My first ones had the buckwheat husks inside them making them very heavy. This one is very light. The only difference is this one doesn't keep my head as cool but still way better that a regular pillow.

It supports my neck and does not shift around. I had some down alternative pillows that were fantastic for the first few weeks, but now are pretty useless. I had a memory foam pillow that is OK for naps but all night it ends up doing more damage than just a regular pillow. This pillow is very comfy all night. It stays cool and, where it is slightly smaller than a normal pillow, works wonderfully.

I'm very surprised that I am the first to post a compliment! I love it. I'm 56 years old and have had many good pillows, but I would wake in the morning feeling like I had worked all night. I greeted the day with pain in my upper back and hips. I thought it was my mattress but wanted to try this first. I feel SO much better in the mornings. My whole outlook towards the day has changed. Thank you for creating this virtual cloud for my head to rest at night. I also use it for back support in my favorite chair and also my car.
