I bought 6 of the Soap Magic dispensers to have in my kitchen and on bathroom sinks around the house. The hands-free dispensing is great. I really like this product...WHEN it works. However, after using the dispenser for a short time, you need to wave your hand under the sensor 2 to 3 times in order for soap to come out. When the batteries are replaced, it works great for about a week or so (I've gone through a lot of batteries)! I also have a hands-fee dispenser from a different manufacturer that uses AA batteries instead of AAA batteries. I've had it for 1 1/2 years, have never changed the batteries, and it still works great. The only reason I didn't buy more of the other dispenser is you have to use their soap refills. As they do not offer a scent-free soap, which I need for my allergies, I went with Soap Magic. It's too bad this product wasn't tested a little better/longer. I think if the manufacturer would change it so it used AA batteries, it would solve a lot of the problems people are having with them.

Worked well for about two days. Now it dispenses only on the 2nd or 3rd try. I think the soap I'm using is too thick, its Dial. When it is empty I will try another, but don't have much hope for this particular product.:(

It works ok but most of the time you have to wave your hand over the sensor about 3 times before any soap comes out. It is great you don't have to touch it especially in the bathroom. We have three of these in the house and all work the same. I wonder if the soap we are using is too thick. I am tempted to water down the liquid soap to see if that makes any difference. A good enhancement to this device would be to add a second cycle to pre-prime the soap for the next time you use it.

Do not waste you money this item has not worked in months, I thought it was clogged but no it is worthless 1st it started dispensing by itself and yes i did follow instructions and now replaced batteries won't dispense at all and no chime getting ready to send back to seller.

I noticed if you take away your hand sooner, that Soap Magic will stop dispensing but dribble a drop or two that I catch with my other hand. My wife refilled it with soap and it just stop working. Also leaks thru the battery compartment. When I messed with the batteries (after I emptied it and rinsed it out) it kicked on a couple times for only a second. I will take it apart to examine it, might be faulty wiring (that also gets wet). Might also be a bad hoaky sensor as well. I will get back with my findings later.

A piece of junk. It was great for about a week like others have stated and then just quit. I cleaned it out and it still won't even spew out water. What a rip.

Just bought it. Works fine BUT dispenses WAY TOO MUCH SOAP. I wish I would have bought a different brand with a switch to control how much liquid soap I am using. Really big waste of liquid soap since it dispenses so much!

I have bought 10 to 12 soap magics for myself and for gifts. I loved my soap magic until it stopped working within weeks! I bought another and it failed too! Now i am embarased for giving soap magic as a gift to 8 people! I am very attached to this soap dispenser. i would pay a ton for one that works right. thanks a lot soap magic for ruining my life!

Product works well, I just wish there was a setting where I can choose the amount of soap it dispenses. There are times when I just need a dab of soap and not having this setting makes me feel like I'm wasting soap.

The idea of the soap majic is great. But the product quality stinks. I bought my first one and within a couple of weeks the chime didn't work and it started leaking from underneath. Took it back and got another and the same thing happened. Don't waste your money! The quality is terrible! Mine doesn't look like the one in the picture, but it was an as seen on t.v. product.

Bought this as a Xmas present for mom - she loves it...Just make sure to use high quality batteries like Duracell to minimize battery replacement intervals.
