After reading all the reviews on line, we decided it was time to try the Bark Off. We ordered it online so we could get the second free barkoff.
So after playing with it for a bit, and finally convincing myself this is going to work, I setup one in the living room on an end table. First thing I noticed was that when the television was on our dogs would go and hide in the office. Turn the television off, and he would come back out and play. Turns out, that the TV was making the right noises to activate the BarkOff.
This told me two things, 1) it Worked 2) it was sensitive. So now I only turn the bark off on when the neighbors are walking their dogs outside. This causes my dogs to think it barking season. Bark off has stopped that.
My Evaluation of the Bark off
The bark off is sensitive to other sounds, NOT just your dogs barking. I would NOT put it in a room with TV or a loud radio. I find it best to use when you think your dogs are going to bark(setting your dogs up to learn a lession). I would not use at night, cause your dogs warn you if someone is trying to break in.
Overall I would rate it an 8 out of 10 and suggest buying if your having barking issues with your dogs or even your neighbors dog. It does seem to work up to 25-30 feet away.

There must be a better way to order Bark Off than over the phone. It's an excruciating experience, listening to all of the extra offers when all you want is a couple of the devices. Be prepared to spend 15 min saying NO to all the extras....yikes...my ear is red !

@al - in the long run it should NOT hurt your dogs ears, it just a load sound to tell them not to do something. Its a training aid, not something you just put in a room and leave on.

I bought this product, I have four dogs that run to the door and bark a lot. After installing this by my front door it seemed to work. But for one of my poodles was hiding in the back bedroom quivering and shaking his head. He wouldnt stop until I turnned the bark off to the OFF position. It worked great on three of my dogs. Just becarefull and watch for signs of Pain.

Have you check to see if the batteries are dead. I had to replace the batteries in my bark off and it started working.

I finally received my bark off after waiting for 5 weeks for it to be delivered! At first it seemed to be getting a reaction from my 3 small dogs. Now I am not seeing much help. and I how can I tell if the battery goes dead?

please note that BARK OFF does NOT distinguish between dogs barking and people talking! if you leave it on, it will continue to make the noise and your dogs will be miserable. if you only turn it on when they start barking and then turn it off when the situation is over, it actually works REALLY well
