Stop Dog Barking

Dog Barking. Are you tired of your dog barking. Has your dogs barking been keeping you up at night or your neighbors. Training your dog to stop barking is the only way to get your dog to learn, when to and not to bark.

Birds sing, frogs croak, and a dog barks, whine and Howls. If You Have a Dog, you better expect Some barking, whining or Howling. It Is unfair and unrealistic to think you can train your dog to stop barking altogether. However, you, your dog and Your Neighbors Will Be Much Happier if all the barking IS Under Control.

A dog that is left alone all day may have this barking hobby because no one is there to help control his/her barking behavior. In no time at all, barking becomes an enjoyable habit. And for the many dogs, they start barking, they tend to continue barking for the sheer FUN of it.

Barking

The first step in obtaining peace and quiet is to realize the types of barking.
  • Being lonely
  • bored
  • Frustrated
  • Frightened
These are all situations that you can help you train your dogs barking behavior.

Obedience training is great mental exercise. Thinking is a tiring activity for dogs, as it is for humans. Most dogs really enjoy a rapid paced, Exciting "game" of come here, sit, heel, sit, heel, down, stay with a celebration of praise and treats. Do not allow training to become a boring and tedious routine.

If your dog stays mostly in the backyard and is always barking, take them for a walk around the neighbor hood so your dog can investigate the sounds that Frighten them.

Dogs are social creatures by nature, so taking them to the dog park and letting them enjoy other dogs is also a great way to help stop barking. Also helps in wearing them out so they sleep better at night.

The Consequences of Barking

When your dog has stop barking because you ask them to "STOP BARKING" you should reward your dog with a treat. If you dog doesn't stop barking after you have asked. Than now is a great time to use your Bark Off or Sound Bark collar. This will get your dogs attention. After you dog has been quit from this ask them again to stop barking and reward them.
